Pretty Little Rows

>> Thursday, November 13, 2008

This week at Written, Inc. the theme for Thematic Photographic is "rows." I don't do very many of these (I think 2?) but I wanted to see what I could find. Again, a few of these were taken with my film camera so sorry about the quality of my horrible scanner.

This first pictures shows the rows of fruit on a beach-grape bunch. I like these. This is here.

This is a row of cypress and palms in Mt. Dora, Florida.

This last picture is rows and rows of windows in Manhattan, NY.

Can you see me? I'm hiding in one of the pictures.

That is all you get this week and remember, if you want to use the picture (non-commercially) go ahead, just give me credit!

So glad you contributed! I love the grape one. So pretty. Plus I loved the orangutans yesterday. I have always adored them!

Hi Mimi.....I love the first photograph......it is like an abstract painting.......

Is that you in the last photographs, holding the camera....

@sealaura... Thanks. I love the little orangutans too. So cute!

@ cheryl... You found me!

You had to be in the last shot. There wasn't anything to catch your reflection in the first 2.

Think of it as a Hitchcock-style cameo.

I especially liked the grapes. Are they tasty?

Marimoy November 14, 2008 at 7:58 AM

@ mojo... Yes, I like it that way.

@ wendy... it depends on who you ask. I like them, but only after they get a bit pink. They don't really taste like grapes. More like a weird guava-y beach-grape flavor.

Dear Mimi,
I see you too!
The idea "to see rows" was inspiring. I enjoyed each of these photographs. The rows of grapes are cool looking with the ocean and beach in the background. I love the way you took the photograph giving the complete story of location.
(Since I started felting I see felt where ever I look!)
Have a wonderful weekend! Please say "Hi" to a butterfly for me...I miss mine so very much.

@ Sherry... I thought it was a great idea and that is why I participated. I will definitely say hi to the butterflies for you!

I love the last "row" pic. Your reflection adds to it.

@ Beth... Thank you. I really enjoyed my sunrise in NYC that day.
