Going Metric

I know many of Potspoon!'s readership is in the US somewhere so the thought of converting to a metric system frightens most of us (no pun intended). SI (Système International) is the primary unit system throughout the world. This is not just in science either. It is the most used on a daily basis personally and is the OFFICIAL system of units for international commerce. Three countries, the US, Liberia, and Myanmar, are digging in their heels and have not adopted SI as the official system of measure. This is puzzling because the metric system is based on the number 10 making conversions simple and the basis for these measurements is set in platinum. Ah well. There are some groups that REALLY are on the push to convert us into a Metric Nation. I am all for it, but I am a scientist. What about you guys?
